Change of Interest

Its weird how I can have a complete change of interest from one "hobby" to another. The biggest one I have right now is with roleplaying. I want to roleplay, but I don't at the same time. I want to do a campaign, but I just can't seem to put ideas down on the table. I want to play Q's campaign, cause I like my character and what he represents, and I like the storyline, but I'm not interested in the actual get together and the dice rolling. I'm not being anti-social, in fact, I would rather watch movies or just chat. Which says alot because you might not know this, but I dislike watching movies. Why? two reasons, one, I over did movie watching when I worked at blockbuster, and two, a movie is a two hour commitment that I would rather spend doing something else. I'm a multitasker, when I watch movies at home, I'm also either playing a video game, surfing the web, or reading comics.

Well I lied slightly, I do have some campaign ideas, but I don't have enough players for a star wars setting

Oh and I'm also more interested in reading comics then anything having to do with sex or womens.

Super hero campaign leading to chaos earth, US setting, not toronto. For maximum drama chicago? we could even try to convert rifts to D20, although it would take some work. I already have a character made. I have 2 characters I REALLY like, John Truman and Vaillen, neither of which really got to do anything truely super epic yet.

I think the coolest thing to happen to john in a chaos earth mdc setting would be to stay sdc, but have it regen at an insane rate. Like getting completely blown away all the damn time, limbs blown off and coming back the next round(15 sec), big ass holes in him, everything short of complete obliteration/atomization allowing for him to be back up and running within a minute. But SDC none the less. Human stats, no super strength/super speed, just 2 guns, and skin that likes growing back.

That's a palladium setting, I actually, want to get away completly from any game system that we know and do something new and different. I can't touch World of Darkness because Rick has a stranglehold on a campaign he will never do. So I was looking at the Hero System or Gurps

You bought that one book that you wanted to use and never did, the one where everyone was like a demi god or something? What happened to that? Also theres not alot of things we haven't done before in game system terms. Only thing we haven't touched that might be cool but good luck getting EVERYONE into it is the Whedon games. Like Serenity or the Buffy Universe. Truth be told we rarely stick to any sort of preset storylines that come with the games, what we really need to find is a system we can all live with and do w/e the hell storylines we like.
